"Mokume gane"

I have always been fascinated with Mokume gane work, even as a goldsmith I loved it. Of course the polymer clay world has used this technique extensively, but in the glass bead world still largely unused, so I dared to try and at the point where I decided to cut into the bead, I was dreading that this one last step would ruin all the work I had put into the bead, I couldn't resist and did it anyway!

O ... M ...G!!! Truly, my eyes bugged out when I saw this bead.
Sorry to arrive so late to the dance; we've been on the road to FL.
Yowza! I can't wait to see more.
So worth the gutsy cut, Astrid.
