Hollow Pleated bead!

Taking the pleats a step further...

Don't you just love the enamels, it feels like painting,  but unlike painting the colours don't blend they stay perfectly the way they are, so each colour is placed next to the other, but together the create a song of happiness :))

I love your enamel work. I've also figured something out about you.
Your beads are so recognizable when I scroll down LE. I know yours without seeing your name (scrolling from the bottom up, that is).
Some people find a style and hang onto it forever so you know their stuff from a mile away.
You're not like that. Your beads still fly off the screen but it's because you have a "way" with your art. It's never the same thing over and over and over. But there's always a "touch" or a "look" that screams Astrid.

Ellen, that is one of the nicest observations any one has ever made :)
It really makes me happy that you can see my "way" throughout my art, it is something I often wonder about. I decided quite some years ago that I must be true to myself, and I just cannot make variations of one style over and over and over for years. I thought that it would be a disadvantage as a lot of well known artists have this distinctive style that you can see a mile off, I may not have that, but that is not what I want, individuality and uniqueness is what I strive for, and the rest will follow or not, I am happy with that :)
