Flower Pomanders

I don't normally have my flowers flush with the bead, I prefer them a bit raised they have better definition and more depth, although I find the camera makes them a little less sharp compared to the naked eye!

Gerbera Daisy

Gerbera daisies are flowers originally from South Africa, they grow in the low veld in the wild in a place called Barbeton. We also call the Barbeton daisies..
My new murrini is based on them.

On the other side I have added my enamel murrini's, so there is something different on each side of the bead.

The focal is 68mm long ( 2.6 inches)

Devotion

Yep,I am totally devoted to making beads, each and everyday I try to be a better lampworker, do you ever feel good enough?.With my goldsmith  background I could make some fantastic silver jewellery to adorn the beads, but I really don't want to take the time away from making beads, not even to make something for myself, I am a sad case;)!
Lampworking has made me very focused (and single track minded!), it is as if I have no choice in the matter, it (or perhaps the flame) compels me . What keeps the excitement alive for me throughout the last 9 years?...For me, definitely that I don't stay with a single style, that would be the end of my bead making very soon. Probably would be better for business though, but I love what I do and that is what matters the most to me. this is why I make beads, purely for the pleasure it gives me, and it is the best feeling  to know that someone else loves one of my creations too :)

I think I am living my dream :)

Luscious Lips !

Well it is of course personal taste, but in my opinion she she not have gone for botox injection in the lips, just a bit too much for my liking ;)

Minding my own business ;)

Birds, Fish, butterflies, they are an endless supply for the imagination :)

A little retro hippy bead, a bit off the normal track for me, but I would like to try some things and see where it takes me...
