Botanical bead

Gorgeous Autumn colours for all of you in the Northern hemisphere :)

I love the raised plain white leaves with the abundant colours of the bloom. I think I might make some more in different colours and see how the flowers develops.

Daisy

Not long any more and the daisies are growing again. his week the temperatures have shot up to 28 degrees C not bad for the end of Winter!

I have a new lentil press, very thin and very big, 42mm diameter, amazing to see the difference in size when I hold it against a 37mm lentil, it really dwarfs it!

For a bit of fun I posterized the image, I like it the shadows look so cool!

Slinky!

First impressions are not always what they seem, at times one is pleasantly surprised and sometimes a little disappointed. So it goes with beads too. Sometimes you just expected something different, and then it seems to grow on you :)

I have two beads here, the one is a bit disappointing, mainly because the shape got distorted at he very end, so I will have to make another similar one. The second bead  has just got a tiny flaw, and I might just add some sandblasting so it does not show up like a thorn in my eye, perhaps it will surprise me and look even nicer ;) I have named it "Slinky"

Spiralling!

The spirals lie deep within the bead, the light passes through between the twisting threads of colour and create a wonderful depth and 3D dimensionality.

I am just a little hooked on these hollows again :))

Sun Rays!

Sadly my photography skills fall short to take better pics of these beads.

They have lots of depth and a nice glow, as you can imagine with the orange, 

and when you move the bead in your hand, the crossing lines have a life of their own ;)
