"Mokume gane"

I have always been fascinated with Mokume gane work, even as a goldsmith I loved it. Of course the polymer clay world has used this technique extensively, but in the glass bead world still largely unused, so I dared to try and at the point where I decided to cut into the bead, I was dreading that this one last step would ruin all the work I had put into the bead, I couldn't resist and did it anyway!

Vision

I don't know about you but it gives me double vision ;)

The square shape in bead art is somewhat difficult as everything always pulls in to a spherical shape.
So I am loving these millions of little squares :)

A prototype bead today, Experimenting with some new designs, I still need some practise but I am excited with the first steps.

Complex twisty!

Looks like a simple bead but it takes so much time just to make the twisty!

Fun with a friend!

We made marble twist beads and I showed her how I make this hollow bead..
