Hollow beads

Today I have 2  mouth blown hollows again for a change, There is just something about how the light falls through a hollow bead and not only are the beads lighter than if they would be solid but their appearance is weightless and airy.

Butterfly!

Intuitive Art bead!

I really love this bead, so much to look at, texture and colours depth and dimensions!

The left side of the bead has 3D squares set deeply into the clear glass, and with the naked eye you see that it is like a disc in the centre of the bead, suspended in clear glass.

Unlike painting on a canvas, I have to work relatively fast and cannot ponder too long on what I want to create, and as the colours change with the heat  I have to imagine in my mind what the colours are going to be as I choose a new colour to add to the painting. My work has always been about intuition and very little about a laid out plan before I start, it allows me to stay flexible and draw from within and go with the flow of the work.

I hope you like this bead too :)

Back at the torch!

It's good to be back behind my own torch ;)

I have a new bead to show, I haven't played with copper mesh in a long time, so it was fun to do something new with it again.

Home sweet home!

It's been both amazing and inspiring, 4 weeks have passed, unbelievable how fast time seems to pass when you are having fun.

I want to thank my hostesses, Diana East, Audrey Otterbein, Claudia Wyssling and Iris Schäfer for organising the workshops, and for showing me around a bit; it’s been great, thank you :)

A big Thank you to all the participants, you made it a success and I hope to see you all again, it is wonderful to see each of you progress. I was especially proud of the ladies that participated in the 3D murrini class, I was so proud that each and everyone made a beautiful murrini cane, and to boot it only took about one hour to make!

I hope this will inspire anyone out there to join in next time :)
So I hope to get a good nights rest tonight and perhaps make some new beads tomorrow :)

Hugs to all of you!
