The weekend has arrived! Is it not funny that I get up so early on the weekend and during the week one always want to stay that bit longer in bed, and you wish the weekend would arrive so you could relax and stay a bit longer!!

I have just spent the whole afternoon shopping, shopping, shopping, it is exhausting!!
Bought some fresh sole, white wine, green asperagus, and some cream, so I am off to cook us dinner....

Monday, and I need to wake myself up, the weekend was lovely...

Bobejaans stert!

I took this photo today on the mountain at Rustenburg, in Afrikaans it is called " Bobejaans stert" Monkey tail plant. They were in full flower all over the top of the hill, that alone was worth the trip:)

And this is the thing we actually were on the mountain for, this is my husband taking off..

Today, will be a day off, the sun is shining the weather is great and I need to get out of here ;)

Flamingo Eyes

This is a 22mm round/donut bead it grew a bit beyond my bead roller!!

We decided not to go a way for the weekend as the weather has been wet and cold this week, but when I look out my window this morning the Sun is back and the Summer is in full swing again :)

Although my husband will definitely go flying somewhere today, I have decided to make some beads instead and go out tomorrow to be their recovery driver!

I don't know if you guys have the same problem, I like to go away but when I am a way I think of making beads and I can't wait to get back???

I think I'll hang this bead up in my window, as the sun is in hiding behind the thick mist which blankets the earth today :)

Hope you are all having a good week? On our side it is overcast rainy and actually quite cool. I like it!! We need rain it is still quite dry for the time of the year.

Hopefully the weekend is better as we want to escape over the weekend into the mountains and do some paragliding, well actually I will be doing para watching :)

Ok got a name....

I have been given the idea to call the bead "Jelly Baby" I think that's awesome as it sounds like 60-70's Austin Powers style. Thanks so much you know who you are :)

Clown Fish!

Todays bead turned out to look like a fish, bit like a clown fish actually
I think this will be taking a direction, perhaps create a couple of fishies

with mouth that protrude who knows:)

I am enjoying the simplicity, the boldness of the colors and the distortion

the lens of the glass creates.

Every now and then, I need to do something modern, or perhaps retro???
