Some reactive murrini's we will be making in the workshops!
Just remember though that striking glass has a mind of its own at times and the results may vary, which is what I love about reactive glass the surprise when something unexpected happens!

It has come around again... the one day in the year which either you love or love to hate!

For me it is a day to celebrate, I am loving life more now than when I was a Spring chicken,

I am doing what I love to do, have a wonderful Husband and 2 great children, I am thankful to God from the bottom of my heart :-)

A photo for the day!

Just when you thought you had me figured!!
I made a modern set of beads in monochrome colors.
I love the simplicity of the color versus the inticate
details of the design.

For those of you who would love a bead changer pendant!

These unique pendants are made from sterling silver not pmc, they all have cuttlefish print on the front, and are marquee shaped.I have added a ball at the top and bottom, so you can add different size pins, I think that will be more appealing, right? The price is going to be $40.00 and I will sell them with three pins each of different lengths which you can determine your self.

Morning Glory!!
A typical Winter Sunrise in South Africa, the sun bright orange on the horizon, and as a misty haze still blankets the earth, a soft glow radiates over the waters!

I still love making big lentil beads !

Rebirth

The lava has cooled and the fertile ground finds itself renewed with energy,
A rainbow still lingers in the distance as the earth replenished with moisture,
gives rebirth to the delicate flowers out of the ashes.

New bead exchangers up on Etsy now!

Frozen in time

Frozen Ice Bubbles and flowers

Don't you just love it, to freeze some design,
effect or image for ever!
These beads are made with millions of bubbles suspended and frozen for all time!
Sometimes I forget that I am working with glass, each color each design, shaped and formed from glass, it is actually so magical to work with a material which is can both transparent like water, hard and unmovable and yet we melt and shape it to our design and freeze a bit of our imagination in glass forever!

I really feel blessed and am grateful for the gift of working with glass!

This is a reticulated silver bead holder.

Well I have it ready at last!
It is a interchangeable bead holder, made with sterling silver,
and matching bead caps.
I have given it a matt finish and the ball at the bottom threads
on and off to change the bead.
So now that my bench is warmed up again, I might be tempted
to make some more to sell....;)

Monday Blues....;)

Wow the weekend is over again and we have all been so busy!

I have made no beads but instead after a long absence from doing any goldsmithing work decided to make some interchangable bead holders, The only thing I need to get is a tap and die set to finish it off. It was good to do some metal work again and I think I'll do some more in the future :)

Here is a sample although not quite finished off!

The tube and bead caps are made with a reticulated surface, never done that before, quite time consuming but I like it!
