Rose ball

This is a 20mm round based bead with roses. I wanted to make a couple of beads which are fun to wear as focals but not too large and more afordable!

A matter of obsession!

I am obsessed with making rose murrini, but loving it :0)
I wish that there was more info available on how to make tonbo-dama flowers,
There is one book out and one to come soon, but I don't believe they go into the detailed floral murrini's, if any one has info I could use please mail me.

Dark Rose

Today its time to tidy the house, make some good food and entertain with friends around the Fire place!

Which means of course that there is no time to make beads, and I have roses on my mind, I want them to look more realistic, well perhaps if I am quick I can squeeze in some time :)

Rose on the River

It's cold this Tuesday morning, Winter is making itself felt again!
The football is over and everyone is going home again.
Schools are starting again so all will return to its normal routine,
for me that means getting up earlier and making beads, beads ,beads :)

Cool Cucumber

Total mood swing from me....LOL Something modern and cool!

It was a struggle to photograph, the beads have a lot of mirror finish and difficult to capture!

Roses are Red!

I made some red roses murrini, here is a test bead!

I think I am a little single track minded at the moment, don't worry it will pass soon:)

I love the triton silver glass with the dark ivory, the crackle finish really compliments the rose theme, but I am struggling to keep the ivory from getting too dark, in this case less is more ;)
Looks ok under good lighting!

The Rose

I brought in one of my favorite techniques, the "pleats" It gives the bead the feeling of a ball gown with ruffles, trimmings of gold and the final touch the Rose:)

Spanish Rose

Trying out all the different ways to decorate a bead with roses, it is so nice when you have the murrini all you need to do is apply them :)
